Amenhotep III, Queen Tiye and their three daughters. One daughter can be seen standing between the couples legs, nearly twice life size. Amenhotep III and Queen Tiye are the grandparents of Pharaoh Tutankhamun.
The Goddess Sekhmet, a sun goddess. She represents the scorching, burning, destructive heat of the sun. She was a fierce goddess of war, the destroyer of the enemies of Ra and Osiris. Her temper was uncontrollable.
Gilded cartonnage masks from the tomb of Thuya (left mask) and Yuya - parents of Queen Tiye (grandmother of Tutankhamun). The tomb was discovered in the Valley of the Kings during 1905. New kingdom, 18th dynasty 1375 B.C.
